Ludong Elementary School Teacher Training

The hometown curriculum of Ludong Elementary School will cultivate our love for our hometown through on-site participation and "learning by doing".

School teachers often guide us to conduct direct observation activities so that we can gain "experience".
Studying in our school, I not only understand the environment where I grew up, but also get to know the cultural characteristics of my hometown. Therefore, even during the summer vacation, the teachers are very serious and devoted to learning.

CAI, YAN-YU teacher teaches elementary school teachers the techniques of rush weaving through training activities.
Let the teachers participating in the workshop understand the traditional Cypress Straw Hat craft of their hometown.
After the study, the teacher will guide the students and pass on and promote this craft technology.

Products woven from rush are creative and practical.
Through this workshop, teachers were able to learn relevant techniques previously taught in arts and humanities courses.
Combined with the traditional craftsmanship of the hometown industry, the elegance of the Lukang Cypress Straw Hat is reproduced, driving the sustainable development of the hometown craftsmanship.

Learn rush weaving with teachers in the exploration classroom of Ludong Elementary School. Teachers make owls; Straw Hat Team learns to make coasters .
It turns out that the teachers have to continue learning during the summer vacation, and at the same time they will transform their hometown’s crafts into something with educational value.
Through localized handicrafts, we can better understand and care about the characteristic industries of our hometown.
